1)Atal Innovation Mission & UNDP hosts 3day Youth Co:Lab National Innovation Challenge:- Youth Co: Lab launched in collaboration by AIM and UNDP earlier, aims at fostering technology, promoting youth leadership and social entrepreneurship in India.

About UNDP:- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nations’ global development network. It advocates for change and connects countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life for themselves. It provides expert advice, training and grants support to developing countries, with increasing emphasis on assistance to the least developed countries. It promotes technical and investment cooperation among nations.

Headquartered in New York City, the status of UNDP is that of an executive board within the United Nations General Assembly.

The UNDP Administrator is the third highest-ranking official of the United Nations after the United Nations Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General.

The UNDP is funded entirely by voluntary contributions from UN member states. The organization operates in 177 countries, where it works with local governments to meet development challenges and develop local capacity. It works internationally to help countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Human Development Report and HDI (index) is released by UNDP.

2)CCI approves subscription of units of Tower Infrastructure Trust (“InvIT”) by “Jarvis”, “BCI”, “Anahera”) and “Valkyrie”, under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002:- The InvIT was set up with the objective of making investments (directly or indirectly) in the infrastructure sector. Currently, the InvIT holds 51% of the equity share capital of Reliance Jio Infratel Private Limited (“RJIPL”), which is engaged in the business of providing passive tower infrastructure services.

Anahera is a foreign portfolio investor registered under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2014, while Valkyrie is a foreign venture capital investor registered with the SEBI under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Venture Capital Investors) Regulations, 2000. Both Anahera and Valkyrie are wholly-owned subsidiaries of GIC Infra Holdings Pte. Ltd.

3)Fake news emerges as a new menace, says President Ram Nath Kovind:- Speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in New Delhi, he said, in the breaking news syndrome, the fundamental principle of restraint and responsibility been undermined substantially.

He said, journalists often assume the role of investigator, prosecutor, and judge.

4)Iran threatens to quit nuclear treaty over Europe dispute:- Iran said today that it will consider withdrawing from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) if a dispute over its atomic programme goes before the United Nations Security Council. Britain, France and Germany launched a process last week charging Iran with failing to observe the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal.

Iran has accused the three European Union member states of inaction over sanctions the United States reimposed on it after unilaterally withdrawing from the landmark accord in 2018.
