Indian Air Force Deploys Rafales to Red Flag
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is participating in the Red Flag war games in Alaska, a two-week multinational exercise focused on advanced aerial combat training. The IAF sent a contingent of Rafale fighter jets, along with IL-78 air refuelers and C-17 transport aircraft, for the exercise that began on May 30th.
Indian Navy Sails to RIMPAC with INS Shivalik
The Indian Navy is also involved in a major US-led war game, Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), scheduled for June 25th to August 2nd in Hawaii. The Navy deployed the indigenous stealth frigate INS Shivalik for the exercise, which will involve participation from various Pacific nations.
Enhancing Interoperability and Training
Both deployments aim to enhance India's military cooperation with the US and its allies. The IAF pilots will gain valuable experience in simulated combat scenarios alongside forces from other nations during Red Flag. Similarly, the INS Shivalik's participation in RIMPAC will improve interoperability with the US Navy and other participating countries.
